What counts as professional use?

Any use as part of a paid activity: a company, a public body, a freelancer or a professional practice. The subscription is reserved for professionals, for professional use. Personal use stays free, with no time limit.

What is a seat?

A seat is one computer on which Modal PDF is used for work. Order as many seats as you have computers using it; you can add or remove seats at any time.

Do I need to activate or register the software?

No. There is no key, no account and no activation, and Modal PDF works offline. Simply keep your invoice: it is proof of your license.

Are all features available for free?

Yes. It is the same software for everyone. The professional subscription gives you the right to use it for work, with an invoice and updates for as long as your license runs.

How do I cancel or change the number of seats?

From the customer portal linked in your confirmation email and on your invoice: change your payment method or number of seats, view invoices and cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.

What about taxes?

Applicable taxes (VAT or equivalent) are calculated for your country and shown before you pay. They appear on the invoice. Businesses in the European Union can enter their VAT number.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: you have 14 days after your order to ask for a refund. See the refund policy. Refund policy
